It is over a month since I turned 40 and, sadly, the most profound thing I've been able to come up with in terms of celebrating and honouring such an important milestone is the decision to no longer limit my best earrings to special events only.
And in quite good news, the Very Hard First Draft having been, like the Three Musketeers Bar: whipped and whipped a thousand times, has finally been (re)submitted and KICKED ASS.
My face is glowing with the smile of the exhausted but satisfied.
And my ears are sparkling with the twinkle of tiny lights.

Great news about the script and about the additional glamour in your life.
Thanks...for some reason I think it is all the more satisfying because I got it so wrong to begin with and felt totally despondent and then had to get back on the horse and work out how to get it right.
And of course, much mirth, this is only the first draft...

I go through phases with my earrings. 2 weeks ago, I wore earrings every day. Last week, only 1 day. We've been suffering through our 4th heatwave here (Philly) and it's just too stinkin' hot to blowdry my hair every morning, so I've just been pulling it back into a ponytail everyday. With no hair around my face, I feel like I NEED to wear earrings so I don't look too plain.
Anyway, I'm glad that you can KICK ASS and sparkle at the same time.
Congratulations :) Could never doubt that the VHFDraft would kick ass though :)
And isn't it nice to be allowed to twinkle any time :)
